Top Entities Widget - ABN Amro Use Case

As part of my personal dashboard, I included the Top Entities Widget using My News as the channel feeding the widget. As part of the setup, I have the widget only look at the last day's worth of news for the channel which gives me a very precise set of new companies in the News Feed associated with the channel. Today, when I landed on my dashboard, the widget looked like this:

Top Entities - ABN Amro

I immediately noticed ABN Amro at the top of the companies list, followd by ING. Curious, I clicked on the 10 (which is the number of articles where ABN Amro appears along with the companies in My News.md). This gave me the actual articles for ABN Amro.

ABN Amro - Articles

Noticing that three of the articles were in Dutch, I clicked on the one that started with Nederlandse banken, knowing that I could use Google Translate to read the article in English.

ABN Amro - Article

I clicked on the blue Translate button and scrolled down to see what the article was about.

Interestingly, this clearly is why ING was also in the original widget display.

Using the Top Entities Widget this way is a great way to quickly see where new companies are being mentioned with the list of companies I am interested in and offers very efficient ways to find out exactly why they are now appearing. The widget provides the same information for People, Regions, Topics, Industries, or any other Entity Type within Apollo.
