Cash Tags (Symphony)

Symphony uses Cash Tags ($) to indicate publicly traded securities. Typically the cash tag will be the trading symbol for the security although there is no actual enforcement of that convention. The Cash Tag can be used to generate Signals to the user and to initate a search of messages that contain the indicated Cash Tag.

As an example, Apple, Inc. would have a cash tag of $AAPL.

Hash Tags and Cash Tags behave the same within the Symphony application.
