Public Company Quote
Public Companies trade on stock exchanges around the world using a ticker symbol. These symbols can be used as context in a quote widget to provide pricing information for public companies. If the symbol for a company is unique around the world, you can just use the symbol with no qualification, but if the symbol for the company you are looking for is used on multiple exchanges for different countries, you can qualify the symbol using the country code after the symbol. The format is:
SSS.CC
where SSS is the Ticker Symbol and CC is the country code for the exchange you want to identify. An example would be Apple Inc. where the symbol is AAPL and the Country Code is US. This would be entered as AAPL.US in the quote widget.
