Introduction

The FinTech Studios Widget Builder is designed to give you access to all of the FinTech Studios built widgets.  These widgets provide access to specific functionality and are designed to be easily integrated into your own applications.  In order to get started, you will need to have a User Name, Password and Access Key.  These can be provided by FinTech Studios upon request using our support email address of [email protected].

There are five steps to generating a URL that can be used to display a widget.  These steps are:

  1. Intro

The landing page for the Widget Builder is the Intro page. Clicking on Continue will advance you to Step 3, Select Widget. Authentication is only required to generate a token for a stand alone widget. During development, or in situations where the user will be logged into Apollo Pro®, Authentication is not required.

  2. Authenticate

The Authentication step is needed only when you want to generate a Secure Token that can be imbedded into the URL for distribution to users that will not log into Apollo Pro®. In order to generate a token, you will need the following information provided by FinTech Studios.

  • User Name
  • Password
  • Access Key

Once these components are entered and authenticated, the Widget Builder will create a security token which will be used to authenticate the widget that you are working with.

  1. Select Widget

Once Authenticated, click on Next at the bottom of the page and you will be taken to the Select Widget step.  This Step allows you to select the Widget that you would like to work with and enter any options associated with the selected widget.  Note that there is a link on the Select Widget step directly to the widget documentation so that you can quickly find which options are available for each widget and what the appropriate values are that can be used based on your selected widget.

In addition to the options, you can select a theme for your widget on this page as well.  The available themes will be listed in the drop-down associated with the Select a Theme heading.

When you have completed the selection process, click on the Next button to get a preview of the selected widget.

  1. Preview

The Preview step is designed to show you what the widget will look like using the options and theme selected.  This is the actual widget as it will appear when invoked and includes all of the capabilities contained in the widget.

When you have finalized the widget with its options and themes, click next to generate the URL that will produce the desired result.

  1. Code

The Code step will give you the actual URL that you can use within your own application.  At this point, you can copy the URL and drop it into an Iframe within your application.  In addition, you can directly paste the URL into the URL bar of any browser and render the widget in a full page mode.
